SOLA FIDE Stained Glass and Woodworking Designs is a small studio located in rural east Tennessee.
Roger B. Long, owner and artisan, started in stained glass over 25 years ago.
This term - Sola Fide - has always held special meaning to me and my faith, and was the catalyst which prompted me to begin producing specially designed works of art. I pride myself on a thoughtful design process when developing a stained glass pattern or a special woodworking design. I even attempt to incorporate the theme into specially designed frames for my art.
All work is custom designed, so no pattern is ever exactly the same. My talent was given to me by my Creator, and I am only attempting to utilize this talent to the best of my abilities for the enlightenment, and enjoyment of others.
So, it is SOLA FIDE, that I pursue this quest.
Our Stained Glass creations are original and authentic. We utilize the “copper foil” method developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the 19th century. When you see a Tiffany lamp, or other stained glass work, this is the method we utilize in our works.
